Ausdrinks 2014 – Review

The Ausdrinks conference and exhibition is the premier event for the non- alcoholic refreshment beverage industry. This year it was held in sunny Gold Coast, Australia, on March 24th and 25th.

So who attended exactly? This year, there were over 120 attendees including key personnel from leading Non- Alcoholic drink manufacturers, representatives of supplier companies , and members of trade media.

The two day programme included topics such as Food Standards and Regulator Insights, Branding, R&D for the industry, Recycling, Consumer insights, Nano Technology, and many other topics which can assist with the growth of the industry in Australia. Different guest speakers came to discuss these topics. These speakers included people such as Lloyd Symons, Business Development Manager, CSIRO, who gave us R&D Insights for 2020 beverages industry innovations; Steve McCutcheon, Chief Executive Officer, FSANZ on the topic of Food standards and Regulator Insights; and also Robert Dvorak, Technical Business Development Manager, Visy rPlastics, with the subject of Sustainable Recycling of Plastic.

Our representative was Mark Collett, Sales Director for HPS Australasia.  HPS was able to have a Single 2 inch pigging system on display, which gave those who attended an overview of what pigging can do for their manufacturing process, and what equipment they would need to implement pigging on either an existing pipe, or a new installation.  One item which many were impressed by was the HPS Return of Investment Calculator. This is a simple program that gives an estimation on the product saved per pigging cycle, and if the equipment cost is known, it can calculate a return of investment for the system.

Overall the conference was a great success and HPS are proud to see the high level of interest shown in us and what we can offer.
