An Overview of the Project
Well-known garden wood care and home wood care product manufacturer Ronseal produces a wide range of paints and varnishes at this UK plant. HPS has installed two pigging systems on this site.
The first pigging system is for water-based paints. This is fully automated and used multiple times in a day.
The second system is a one-direction 2” system for solvent based paints. There are two launch housings that feed a bend panel. There is also one receive station at the filler. This has a “Pig Catcher” to allow the Pigs to rest after being sent and then manually retrieved.
The Pig is propelled with solvent cleaning fluid and there is a filter bypass module in the line.
