Each year the HPS International team meet up at our UK offices in Beeston, Nottingham to focus on skills strengthening and all that is new to world of liquid transfer, product recovery and process pigging technology.

This year’s Conference took place from the 24th of July to the 28th of July, with our national and international colleagues joining us for a week of training, discussions, updates, and a bit of recreation.

We pride ourselves on having excellent customer care and experience in process and hygienic pigging, and our Conference Week is all about building on that knowledge and expertise.

FOCUS ON IMPROVING

Whilst Conference Week is a chance for old friends and colleagues to get together, it’s also key to our team’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD). At HPS we recognise the importance of maintaining an upwards trajectory in terms of career and personal development.

Our annual Conference is the perfect opportunity for comparing approaches, learning new tips and tricks, and reviewing the successes of the past year.

HPS have a long track record of excellent customer service but by taking an in-depth dive into stats and reports, we’re able to better understand how we can improve and make our customers’ journey into process pigging better.

SUSTAINABILITY

In addition to upskilling, there were sessions from Marketing, Operations, and Customer Care, as well as updates from the Green Team on HPS’s commitment to the environment.

With the increasing importance of sustainability within manufacturing, we know how important it is to our clients that they have as many green suppliers as possible. In order to support our clients and the manufacturing industry on the journey to green, we’ve undertaken the Investors in the Environment Bronze accreditation.

HPS have been keen to build a solid green initiative and, thanks to our Green Team, we’re more aware of how we impact the environment and how we can lessen that impact. Between January and August 2023, we’ve managed to decrease our paper consumption by 50% compared to the same period in 2022.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

As always, the Conference included presentations from our Research and Development (R&D) team on upcoming technology, as well as updates on how we’ve been improving our existing technology.

Our international colleagues also got to have a look at some of the projects currently in progress, including our tallest Rotomatrix yet!

The HPS R&D Department play a substantial role in keeping HPS at the top of our game and, with a wealth of knowledge, keep the whole team well-informed on changes and developments to HPS product distribution and pigging system equipment and services.

With many exciting projects nearing completion, we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to start rolling out new, cutting-edge technology by the end of 2023.

ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Par for the course, Conference Week was rounded off with the Annual HPS Golf Tournament and company dinner.

Taking place at the HPS favourite, Morley Hayes, the HPS golfers split into teams of four as they completed the 18-hole Manor Course.

With beautiful weather uncharacteristic of this wet summer, the golfers had a wonderful day navigating the course. There were prizes for Champion Golfer, Best Score, Best Team Stableford Score, Longest Drive, and Nearest the Pin.

Congratulations go to our Project Manager, Cathal O’Sullivan, for winning the coveted Champion Golfer Shield!

We also wish the best of luck to the newly formed HPS Ladies Golf Team, who’ll be competing for the first time in next year’s tournament!

THANK YOU

A massive thanks goes to everyone who took part in the Conference this year and made it such a wonderful week full of laughter and learning! We look forward to doing it all over again next year!
